Breaking the Stereotypes Video Series

PROJECT #10

Unveiling Truths: Beyond Stereotypes

The Series

“Breaking the Stereotypes” is an innovative video series project designed to dismantle common misconceptions and stereotypes associated with various undergraduate programs and campus life at IE University. Our aim was to provide prospective students with a transparent, engaging, and informative window into the real experiences of current students, fostering a more inclusive and accurate understanding of academic and social environments in higher education.

Mission Clarity: Redefining Perceptions

This project stands as a beacon of clarity, aiming to redefine perceptions held by prospective students, educators, and the broader academic community at IE University. We dived deep into the heart of university life, engaging current students in honest dialogues about the realities of their academic and social experiences. This approach not only debunks common myths but also showcases the diversity and richness of student life.

Going Social With Your Own Path

Leveraging the “Breaking the Stereotypes” series across social media platforms significantly enhanced its reach and engagement, directly impacting our recruitment strategy. By tailoring content for specific platforms—using quick, engaging clips on TikTok and Instagram for broader reach, and longer, discussion-driven content on Facebook and LinkedIn for depth—we capitalized on each platform’s strengths to foster community engagement and dialogue. This strategic adaptation not only sparked meaningful conversations around stereotypes and campus life but also heightened interest among prospective students. The increased engagement and positive social media buzz translated into a noticeable uptick in inquiries and applications, demonstrating the series’ direct contribution to our recruitment goals and affirming the power of targeted, relatable content in driving business results in the education sector.
