Keep Up With All the Latest Goings-on at IE University on Our Blog Driving Innovation!
The Blog
The Driving Innovation blog was established in 2015 as part of IE University’s inbound marketing transformation strategy. The blog serves multiple purposes, including providing relevant content for students and potential candidates, acting as an information resource for the application process, and serving as the central content hub for IE University’s inbound marketing strategy. The blog is organized into different categories, including Experience, Innovation & Creativity, Learning & Academics, and #goingtoieu.
Over the years, we have developed and updated three versions of the blog, with the latest version running on WordPress CMS. Extensive research, including UX/UI and behavior analysis, was conducted to ensure an optimal navigation experience. The blog template has also been optimized for technical SEO to improve search engine visibility.



Blogging
To maintain the quality and consistency of the blog’s content, every team member who blogs completes Hubspot’s content marketing strategy training before publishing their first post. We also have a detailed internal training and review process for new bloggers. Each published post is audited and measured to assess its impact, allowing us to continuously iterate and optimize our blogging strategy.
Pillar Pages
In line with innovative content strategies, we adopted Hubspot’s “pillar pages” approach, going beyond traditional keyword-focused content organization. This involved creating topic clusters and pillar pages to improve the blog’s search engine ranking and provide comprehensive answers to modern queries that potential candidates have on platforms like Google.

Results Summary
- The Driving Innovation blog has published more than 900 posts since its launch.
- Over 60 authors, including students, professors, and staff members, have contributed to the blog.
- Google Analytics data reveals that more than 60% of newly enrolled students have visited the blog at least once.
- Since its launch, the blog has generated over 1 million page views, with an average time on page of 01:36.
- Articles from the blog are embedded in over 100 automated email templates sent daily to potential candidates.
- Certain articles, such as “6 Things to Consider Before Starting a Business” have gone viral and generated over 100,000 page views since their publication.
