Authentic Pizzas With a Twist of Innovation

Pizzeria Rurale was a fast-casual Italian restaurant startup side project that aimed to offer authentic and unique Italian pizzas with a touch of innovation. We focused on providing customers with the opportunity to customize their pizzas by choosing their favorite ingredients from a wide range of fresh and natural products. Our pizzas were cooked in Italian ovens using traditional methods, ensuring an authentic Italian culinary experience.

The Location

very aspect of the restaurant’s design was meticulously crafted to convey Italian authenticity and traditional values. The ambiance and decor were carefully selected to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for customers.

The Food

We paid close attention to every step of the manufacturing process to ensure the highest quality. The pizza dough was matured for 48 hours to achieve the perfect texture and flavor. Our pizzas were cooked in a traditional Italian pizza oven, reaching temperatures of 420 degrees Celsius. We sourced only the finest ingredients to maintain the authenticity and taste of our pizzas.

The Brand

As a branding expert, I played a key role in creating the brand and image of Pizzeria Rurale. After weeks of conceptualization, we developed a brand and logo that effectively conveyed the essence of the restaurant: authenticity, tradition, and quality.

The Digital Marketing Ecosystem

As the marketing specialist, I led all marketing and communication strategies for Pizzeria Rurale. Some of my core responsibilities included:

  • Developed from scratch and continuously updated the restaurant’s website in WordPress.
  • Managing paid and social media campaigns on platforms like Google, Facebook, and Instagram to drive traffic and engage potential customers.
  • Executing the restaurant’s content strategy, which involved active blogging and reaching over 15,000 visitors and 30,000 page views in Q4 of 2018.
  • Managing organic social media strategies on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

What Did I Learn and Achieved

  • Developed leadership and management skills by supervising a team of six waiters, cooks, and supervisors.
  • Gained knowledge of startup financial and business models through managing the restaurant’s financials and operations.
  • Achieved annual revenues of €320,000 in the second year of operation.
  • Successfully sold the restaurant, concept, and brand in 2018.

Pizzeria Rurale was a testament to our commitment to delivering authentic Italian cuisine and providing customers with a unique dining experience. The project allowed us to gain valuable skills in leadership, operations management, and branding, while achieving notable success in terms of revenue and recognition.
